Household Hazardous Waste Day is being held today, Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
Collection will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Veolia Environmental Services, located at 141 Prosperity Way near Chatham.
“The government of Ontario now requires producers of hazardous products such as oil filters, solvents, paints and coatings, fertilizers, mercury-containing devices (barometers, thermometers and thermostats), pressurized containers and refillable propane containers to collect products when they reach their end-of-life,” Municipal officials said on social media.
“Dispose of these products and other household hazardous waste.”
The next Household Hazardous Waste Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the same location.
