Wallaceburg District Secondary School has announced their Drama Club has won outstanding production at the recent NTS Drama Festival.
School officials say the club will be representing the Lambton-Kent district at the regional festival in Hamilton later in April.
The Tartans also won several awards for set design and use of space, production of promise and acting.
The acting award winners were Turtle Loulas, Halle Miskokomon and Biidaas Chiblow.
“This is a significant win for the school and the community as this is the first time WDSS has been chosen to go on to regionals,” Brianne Kraayenbrink, library supervisor at WDSS, told the Sydenham Current.
“The group is currently fundraising for their trip to Hamilton and if there are any donors or sponsors interested in helping out they should contact Mrs. Lane at WDSS.”
