A true gentleman with incredible kindness has passed on April 15th , 2023, at Nithview LTC, New Hamburg, at the age of 92 years old.
Don is survived by his 2nd wife, June Heibein, of West Montrose. Cherished father of Donna, Patty, Michael (David), Gary (Rhonda). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Tricia, Michael, Shannon, Samantha, Jamie and Cody, great grandchildren, sister-in-law Gwendolyn Christian, and nieces and nephews. Don was the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents, Harry and Delina (Bushey) Christian, his wife Vida (Thomson) and his siblings.
Don proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy and during the Korean War. He was a skilled electrician employed with Ontario Hydro working for decades with the construction of power plants throughout the Province of Ontario. He retired from Darlington Nuclear Power Station in 1995.
Don enjoyed woodworking and gifted many with his spectacular projects. He was deeply loved and will be in our hearts and memories forever for his strong faith in the Lord, his impeccable integrity, his love of family, his kindness, his sense of humour, his laughter and his sparkling beautiful blue eyes.
Family and Friends are invited for a Memorial Service at the Cavanagh Reception Centre, 416 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 1pm.
