Community Living Wallaceburg showing ‘Zootopia’ at the Jeanne Gordon Hall

As part of Community Living Wallaceburg’s month long effort to raise awareness and celebrate an inclusive community, they are inviting the community to a FREE movie night on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the fully accessible Jeanne Gordon Hall, upstairs inside the Wallaceburg and District Museum.

“We selected the film Zootopia, an animated Academy Award winner great for all ages,” stated Julie Grant, fund development and communications specialist with Community Living Wallaceburg, in a media release.

“The movie is about a bunny and a fox that are determined to achieve their dreams. The story is the perfect representation of Community Living Wallaceburg’s vision that with the support of those around them, people can dream, believe, overcome, and achieve.”

While attendance is free, donations to Community Living Wallaceburg in support of mental health first aid training are appreciated.

Community Living officials say this specialized training helps our front line staff be better prepared to support people with disabilities, each other, and our community.

A variety of snacks will be available for purchase.

Their colorful wristbands will also be available at the event.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie is set to start sharply at 7 p.m.
