The funeral arrangements have been set for Shae-Lynn Bachus, 23, Victoria Baertsoen, 24, and Matt Cousins, 24.
The three young Wallaceburg residents died tragically in a crash on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Shae-Lynn Bachus
Family and friends of Shae-Lynn are invited for a visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Shae-Lynn will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery during a private service on Friday.
“Sugar Shae” was a “shining star” who will be remembered brightly by her family and friends, her obituary states.

Victoria Baertsoen
Family and friends of Victoria are invited for a visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
Victoria’s Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery and a reception will be held at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg to celebrate Victoria’s life and upcoming graduation.
“Victoria lived a short but noble life of service, caring for children and the elderly across the community with empathy, kindness and love,” her obituary states.
“She was known to have a smile that could light up every room, a contagious laugh and the biggest heart you could ever imagine.”

Matt Cousins
Family and friends of Matt are invited for visitation at the Cavanagh Reception Centre, 416 Nelson Street, on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Matt’s funeral service will be held at the Reception Centre on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3 p.m.
“Matt was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed hockey, golf and especially playing for the Red Devil Lacrosse Team,” his obituary states.
