Man arrested for failing to attend court

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:24 a.m., police received information that the man could be located at an address on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. Police attended, located, and arrested the man.

A 22-year-old Chatham man was wanted on several warrants for failing to attend court in relation to driving while prohibited charges.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of June 26, 2023.

Man arrested for failing to attend court

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:40 p.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself into the police.

The man was wanted for failing to attend court in relation to impaired driving charges.

A 21-year-old Brampton man was charged with failing to attend court.

He was fingerprinted and released with conditions and a future court date of June 18, 2023

Man charged with failing to comply with prohibition order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 10:39 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Park Avenue East in Chatham.

Through investigation, police confirmed the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant held by the Canadian Pacific Railway Police.

The man was arrested and searched incident to arrest.

He was found possessing shotgun shells.

Police confirmed the man was prohibited from possessing ammunition.

The 44-year-old Chatham man was arrested, charged with failing to comply with a prohibition order, and released with a future court date of July 10, 2023.

Man arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 23, 2023 a 46-year-old man was located in Chatham.

The man had failed to attend court and an unendorsed warrant was issued for his arrest.

The man was searched and a quantity of suspected fentanyl was located on his person.

The man was held in custody on the warrant and was further charged with possession under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.

Woman arrested on warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 24, 2023 a 39-year-old woman was located in Chatham.

She was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.

The warrant was unendorsed and as a result the woman was held for bail.
