Following Teacher Appreciation Day, and to honor educators for their tireless commitment to their students, CARSTAR Canada has gifted one deserving teacher a $250 gift card to support classrooms and student needs.
The network of independent body shops collected nominees from its store owners and employees who nominated teachers who have made a lasting impression on themselves, their children, or other members in the community.
The winner, Leslie Rickman, was nominated by the team from CARSTAR Wallaceburg.
Leslie Rickman is a kindergarten teacher at Dawn Euphemia Public School in Dresden, Ontario.
“Mrs. Rickman puts her heart and soul into the kindergarten program at this school and her passion is incredibly evident,” said Jeff Wernham, collision shop manager at CARSTAR Wallaceburg, in a media release.
“It’s educators like her or keep our students pushing forward.”
