A special weather statement has been issued in Chatham-Kent, as widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected this morning.
Hazards, include: Rainfall amounts 30 to 50 mm, with locally higher amounts.
The timing is this morning, forecasters say.
“Widespread, slow moving, showers and thunderstorms have developed,” Environment Canada officials say.
“Coverage of showers is expected to decrease in the afternoon. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.”
