Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 19, 2023, at approximately 12:36 a.m., police received information that a male party had yet to return home from work. Police searched the route from the man’s Chatham workplace to his Tilbury home.
At 1:42 a.m., police located the man’s vehicle in a ditch on the west side of Merlin Line in Tilbury East Township. The man was found in the driver’s seat.
The 25-year-old Tilbury man was extracted from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. Despite life-saving efforts administered at the scene and by hospital staff, the man was pronounced deceased.
