Police: Criminal harassment, possession of stolen property, causing a disturbance

Man arrested for possession of stolen property

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:21 a.m., police located the man on Longwood Road in Chatham Township.

Police confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from a February 2023 theft investigation, and he was arrested.

The 33-year-old Chatham man was charged with possession of stolen property and released with a future court date of August 28, 2023.

Man arrested for criminal harassment

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:44 p.m., police responded to St. Clair Street in Chatham for a domestic disturbance.

Through investigation, police learned of a series of incidents dating back to 2021 between the man and the woman.

These incidents included break-and-enter into the woman’s residence, damage to her personal property, threats of harm and persistent unwanted communication.

The 33-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested.

He was transported to police headquarters and charged with break-and-enter, mischief, uttering threats and two counts of criminal harassment.

He was released with conditions and a future court date of August 28, 2023.

Woman arrested for causing a disturbance

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 8:47 p.m., police responded to Grand Avenue East in Chatham for a disturbance.

Police were advised a woman was in front of the business screaming and yelling, scaring customers.

Police arrived on the scene and located the woman.

The 30-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance.

She was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of August 28, 2023.
