Mr. Charles Murray “Charlie” Bechard, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed away Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the age of 81 years.
He was born in Wallaceburg a son of the late Murray and Christina (Woodrow) Bechard.
Beloved husband of Donna Jean (Lewis) Bechard.
Loving father of Barry (Audrey) Bechard and Janine (Jason Coburn) Bechard.
Dear grandfather of Cody, Daphne and McKenna.
Kind brother of Brian (Marilyn) Bechard , Betty (late Ron) Tack, Bonnie (late Jim) Johnston and Brenda (Tom) Kern.
Brother-in-law of Betty and the late Charley Leveille, Ada and Don Myers, John and the late Rose Marie Lewis, Elaine and the late Lloyd Lewis, Doug and Mona Lewis, Eileen and Lyle Jardine, predeceased by Doris and Gus Lalonde and Jackie and Doug Myers.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Charlie was Captain at the Wallaceburg Fire Department retiring after 35 years of service.
Charlie is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home.
Cremation will follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Diabetes Association may be left at the funeral home.
