It saddens our hearts to announce that on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 Donald Williams Knowles passed away peacefully at the age of 91.
Donald was predeceased by his loving wives Diana, Marilyn and Henriette.
Loving father of Denise (Carl) Benn, Graham (Rosemary) Knowles and the late Raymond Knowles.
Cherished grandpa to Angela (Scott), Michelle, Lucas (Jesslyn), Amie, Percy and Helena.
Great grandpa of Alex, Alyssa, Brody, Max, Amber, Katie, Adelaide, Tayden, Zoey, Miley and the late Madison and great great grandpa to Aiden and Declan.
Donald was the last remaining child of the late Wilfred and Florence Knowles and will now be reunited with his siblings June Hatch and Alan Knowles.
He will be remembered fondly by his many extended family and friends.
In the 1950’s Donald served with the Royal Military Police in England and after immigrating to Canada with his family, he worked as a millwright here in Wallaceburg.
He was a proud member of the RCL Branch 18 (Wallaceburg) and was as a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus (Frank A Hyde Assembly #2600).
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 10am until the time of his Funeral Mass of the Resurrection which will take place at Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 12 noon.
Donald will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery at a later date.
