The Walpole Island Wild are hosting the Dresden Junior Kings in their first-ever home opener on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
Puck drops at 8 p.m. at the Walpole Island Sports Complex.
The Wild have dropped their first four games of the season, all of the road.
Meanwhile, Dresden has dropped their first three games of the season.
The Junior ‘C’ hockey team announced on April 4, 2023, that the Wallaceburg Thunderhawks would be moving to Walpole Island First Nation starting next season.
Back in June, the team revealed their new logo.
It was announced last year that the Thunderhawks were sold to Walpole Island First Nation.
