Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On September 17, 2023 just prior to 8 am, Sarnia Police received a report from a concerned citizen in the area of Victoria and Davis Street, that they had observed an assault on an individual by two people with a bat.
Further information was that the victim was made to remove their clothing, and forced into the vehicle.
Sarnia Police quickly responded to the area and located the suspect vehicle.
Patrol officers initiated a traffic stop, and one victim was located in the back seat of the vehicle, while a second victim was located in the trunk of the car.
Both victims received medical treatment and did not sustain significant physical injuries.
Investigation has revealed that the accused parties and victims were known to each other.
A 44-year-old Sarnia woman has been charged with:
– Kidnapping
– Forcible Confinement
– Assault with a Weapon
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
– Suspended Drive (Highway Traffic Act)
A 47-year-old Sarnia man has been charged with:
– Kidnapping
– Forcible Confinement
– Assault with a Weapon
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Both accused have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
