Rainbow crosswalk damaged in Leamington

OPP officials allege: On September 18, 2023, the Leamington detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a mischief on Erie Street South in the Municipality of Leamington.

On Friday, September 15, 2023, at approximately 8:03 p.m., the rainbow crosswalk had been damaged. Unknown persons had driven a motor vehicle on the crosswalk in such a manner as to leave tire marks.

Investigators are looking to identify the owner or driver of a newer model 4 door white pick-up truck observed on closed circuit camera.
