Impaired driving charges laid in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 4:24 p.m., police responded to an impaired driver complaint on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Police received information the vehicle had driven over a curb and was travelling northbound.

Officers located the vehicle and believed the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for testing.

The 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released when he was sober with conditions and a future court date of November 20, 2023.

His vehicle was towed.
