On Tuesday, October 31, 2023 Mary Elizabeth Iris Smith (Trafford) passed peacefully at McGarrell Place Long Term Care, London, Ontario in her 92rd year.
Leaving to be re-united in heaven with her forever love and husband of 70 years, Donald Russell Smith (Dec 7, 2017).
Blessed to be her children: Linda Glassford (John), Richard Smith (Krystyna), Donna Smith (Brent), Patricia Postma (Mike), Kathy Stallaert (Eric).
Cherished as their Grandmother by Brad, Kim, Bob, Jim, Jennifer, Mark, Leah, Jill, Alex, Melissa, Adam, David.
Loved Great Grandmother of Ronan, Kieran, Kalani, Saoirse, Carly, Bryce, Kayla, Izzy, Caiden, Evie, Hannah, Hazel, Maverick, Gwen, Eva, Dylan, Ben, June and Atlas.
Mary will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, caring sister-in-law Mary Kotanko and close cousin Joan Acres.
Predeceased by her, brother Douglas and sister JoAnne.
Mary Iris was born in June and named for the beautiful blooming Iris flowers that her father John bred.
Her living, caring, giving and faithful personality radiated into everything she created and shared with family and friends.
Since late 2017 Mary was embraced by the caring and compassionate staff at McGarrell and her White Wings companion.
Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10am until the time of her funeral service at 11am.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband Don at Riverview Cemetery following.
