Chatham-Kent Public Library’s Wallaceburg Branch has announced a special ‘Learn to Curl’ storytime in partnership with the Sydenham Curling Club (SCC).
This program will take place at the Sydenham Curling Club, 7379 N River Line in Wallaceburg, library officials say.
An interactive storytime will be followed by an opportunity for kids to learn the basics of curling on the ice with an SCC Little Rocks instructor.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
It is geared toward children ages five to eight, but all are welcome.
Only children over the age of five, with a signed waiver, will be permitted on the ice.
Children who are going on the ice must have clean indoor shoes and a helmet, library officials added.
Activities will be available for younger siblings or those who do not want to go on the ice.
