Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:59 p.m., the man was stopped on Grand Avenue West in Chatham concerning a Highway Traffic Act violation.
As a result, the officer discovered the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant in a theft investigation from April 2023 in Chatham.
The 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
He was released with a future court date of January 14, 2023.
