Stolen Christmas trees, uttering threats in Dawn-Euphemia

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 14, 2023, at 7:20 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted regarding an allegation of uttering threats that had taken place on Downie Road.

When officers arrived at the residence, they quickly located the suspect and took them into custody.

During the investigation, a number of suspected stolen Christmas Trees and a stolen vehicle were located on the property.

Firearms were also located on the property, contravening a current prohibition order.

A 45-year-old resident of Dawn-Euphemia Township, has been charged with the following:

– Uttering Threats to cause death or bodily harm,

– Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5000 (two counts),

– Careless storage of firearm or ammunition (two counts) and,

– Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order (eight counts).

The accused has been remanded in custody following a bail hearing.
