Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 6, 2023, at 4:46 a.m., the woman was arrested for intimate partner violence offences and released with a condition prohibiting her from communicating with the victim.
At 9:11 p.m., officers responded to the victim’s home and learned the woman had been calling and messaging him.
The woman was contacted by telephone and advised she would be charged for the violation.
On December 7, 2023, at 9:22 a.m., the woman turned herself in to the police.
The 28-year-old Chatham woman was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
She was held pending a bail hearing.
