TBT: Seth Griffith gets an assist in his NHL debut, 2015

Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith picked up an assist in his season debut with the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.

Griffith picked up a helper on a powerplay goal by Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron at the 2:38 mark of the third period, making the score 4-2.

Boston went on to beat the Ottawa Senators 7-3.

Griffith finished with the one point and a -1 rating in 12:27 minutes of ice time. He also saw 2:28 of ice time on the powerplay for the Bruins.

Griffith was recalled by the Bruins on Tuesday afternoon.

The 22-year-old has played in 24 games with the Providence Bruins in the AHL so far in 2015-16, totaling 10 goals (tied for first on the team) and 17 assists (first on the team) for 27 points.

The Bruins are set to play in the outdoor Winter Classic game on New Year’s Day (Friday, January 1) at Gillette Stadium against the Montreal Canadiens.
