Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 5:48 p.m., police received information on a vehicle driving erratically on Longwoods Road in Chatham Township.
Officers attended the area and located the vehicle on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham. Officers made observations similar to the reporter’s and conducted a traffic stop.
Officers believe the man was driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance and conducted a Standard Field Sobriety Test.
Based on the results, the man was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further tests.
The 39-year-old Chatham man was charged for impaired driving and released with conditions and a future court date of January 22, 2024.
