Charges laid after two people were killed, 10 sent to hospital after a crash in Middlesex Centre

OPP officials allege: One person is charged following a three-vehicle fatal collision in Middlesex Centre.

On February 13, 2024, at 5:23 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Paramedic Service and Middlesex Centre Fire, were dispatched to Highbury Avenue in Middlesex Centre, for the report of a serious collision.

10 individuals were transported to hospital.

Two individuals, a 23-year-old and a 26-year-old, both of London, died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.

A 26-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

– Dangerous Operation causing death (two counts)

– Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm (three counts)

The accused was held for bail.

Highbury Avenue remained closed for approximately nine hours for the investigation.
