Maple Syrup Festival being held in Alvinston March 16-17

The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is excited to host their Maple Syrup Festival on March 16th and 17th at the A.W. Campbell Conservation Area in partnership with the Alvinston Fire Fighters Association.

It is important to note the new changes this year.

All attendees are being asked to park at the Brooke-Alvinston-Inwood Community Centre Complex at 3310 Walnut St., in Alvinston, Ontario, where a shuttle service will be bringing people to A. W. Campbell Conservation Area, 8477 Shiloh Line, Brooke-Alvinston, Ontario.

Any attendees with accessibility questions are encouraged to contact us so we can make alternate arrangements.

Interpretive staff will be on hand at the Festival to demonstrate the importance of this liquid gold in the lives of First Nations people and early European Settlers.

It takes cold frosty nights and bright sunny days for sap to flow from the trees. Weather cooperating, visitors may have an opportunity to taste sap straight from the tree.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
