Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On February 20, 2024, police began a criminal harassment investigation in Chatham.
The man had previously been cautioned by the police regarding his unwanted and vexatious behaviour towards the victim.
Despite the warning, the man was repeatedly seen at the victim’s workplace.
After several unsuccessful attempts to locate him, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On February 27, 2024, at 1:40 p.m., the 54-year-old Chatham-Kent man attended police headquarters and turned himself into the police.
He was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. He was released with conditions and a future court date of March 25, 2024.
