Impaired driving charges laid in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 4 p.m., after receiving a driving complaint, police located the vehicle at the owner’s residence in Chatham.

The owner was found sleeping in the driver’s seat and police believed the driver was impaired by alcohol.

The driver was arrested and transported to Headquarters for breath tests.

The 60 year old Chatham man was charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. He was released with a future court date.
