A wave of new businesses are joining the LUVLOCAL platform across Chatham-Kent as the local business community gets the LUV. Following a successful soft holiday launch, LUVLOCAL is excited to welcome more businesses to the platform, spanning a wide range of categories.
“We’ve been working hard to keep up with inquiries from local small businesses. Visiting each one in their home or studio, taking photos of the business owners and their products, learning more about their process and story – it’s been a lot of work but so worth it to see their hard work showcased on LUVLOCAL. Each one is truly inspiring,” said Moréna McDonald, LUVLOCAL Partner, in a media release.
Selling on an e-commerce platform is just the start.
Each business continually receives assistance with product photography, video content for social media, business advice, and more as they experience the daily struggles of running a small business.
Supporting them while they grow is the heart of the LUVLOCAL movement.
“I haven’t seen this kind of support and collaboration before. The team shows up, takes photography and video, sets up my online presence, handles marketing and design, and then suddenly, I get notified of a sale, and they pick it up and deliver it all over Chatham-Kent. It’s remarkable and so easy for me to join the movement,” said Connie from Dip Dip Hooray!, in a media release.
The Chatham-Kent community is invited to join the movement by browsing each business’ online storefront to see the variety of products that are made right here. Even better, delivery is also available across the community.
“Shopping local is more than a tagline. It’s exploring what products are made here, listening to the stories of small business owners, and making the choice to purchase an item from talented, hardworking people who live right here. LUVLOCAL makes it easy to do all of that, every day,” McDonald says.
