Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:34 p.m., police responded to Patterson Avenue for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers learned a verbal argument escalated when the man assaulted the woman and threatened to cause her harm.
Further investigation revealed other physical altercations.
Officers located the man and arrested him.
The 28-year-old Chatham man was charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats and two counts of assault.
He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and future court date of April 29, 2024.
