Blood donor clinic in Dresden on April 2

A blood donor clinic is being held at the Dresden Arena on Tuesday, April 2 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Your donation can save up to three lives.

Here is a story from Blood.ca:

Dr. Jessie Willis is a first-year internal medicine resident who was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Treatment for this type of cancer typically requires a stem cell transplant.

Jessie is half Asian and half European.

Unfortunately, less than 1.5% of the national stem cell registry is comprised of potential donors with mixed ethnicity.

This makes it very difficult for patients like Jessie to find their ideal stem cell match.

Aside from helping patients, Jessie loves to rock climb, play board games, and spend time with her two dogs.

If you’re between the ages of 17 and 35, you can join the stem cell registry.

You just might be Jessie’s lifesaving stem cell match.

Register online in less than 2 minutes.
