Andraena Tilgener named the Green Party candidate in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex by-election

Andraena Tilgener is representing The Green Party of Ontario in the upcoming By-election in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

“As a registered respiratory therapist who has served her community for 19 years, Andraena Tilgener has seen first-hand how profoundly people are affected by the gaps in Ontario’s healthcare system,” Green Party officials said in a media release.

“Andraena supports the Ontario Greens’ plan to invest in home care and its commitment to act on the social determinants of health by investing in affordable housing and education in Lambton–Kent–Middlesex.”

Tilgener grew up in British Columbia and developed a deep appreciation for our natural spaces skiing and hiking in the coastal mountains.

She has called Ontario home since 1998, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc.) from Western University in 2002 and an advanced diploma in respiratory therapy from Fanshawe College in 2005.

Green Party officials say Tilgener is committed to protecting the unique communities in Lambton–Kent–Middlesex where community members live, work and play.

She enjoys attending soccer games, camping and hiking with her family in the green spaces that give her community character and sustain its sense of collective well-being.

She will work to implement the Ontario Greens’ practical roadmap to protect and prepare our infrastructure for the changing climate so that our homes and businesses can thrive alongside our natural spaces.

A writ was issued on April 3, 2024, under Section 9.1 of the Election Act for by-elections in the electoral districts of Milton and Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

Voting day will be May 2, 2024, Provincial officials say.
