Mrs. Sheila Findlater, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, at the age of 94.
Sheila was born in Ireland and was a daughter of the late Maurice and Helen (Pritchard) O’Keeffe.
Loving mother of Jean (Kevin) Beatty, Deb (Terry) Cantwell, Sue (Bernie) Bellefeuille, Janet Findlater, Rob (Pattie) Findlater, Ian (Darlene) Findlater and Will (Lisa) Findlater.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Tristan, Travis, David, Matthew, Aja, Jessica, Tyler, Jesse, Amy, Josh, Seve, Rhue, Claire, Tommy, Chelsea, Madison, Natalie and Gabrielle and her great grandchildren Bentley, Theo, Lily, Emsley, Easton and Eloise.
Predeceased by her brother Maurice (the late Georgina) and her sister Eileen (Les).
Also missed by her nephews Richard, Robert, John and her niece Pam and their families.
Sheila was a devoted Montreal Canadiens and hockey fan, enjoyed crafts, thrift shops and pontoon boat rides. She loved her grandkids, never missed a birthday and also loved being by the water and going to Wills Cottage. She was involved in the Terry Fox Run for 25 years.
The late Sheila Findlater rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.
A private family service was held.
Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
