OPP officials allege: On Monday May 13, 2024, at just after 11:00 a.m., members of the Lambton OPP were dispatched to the intersection of Confederation Line and Broadway Street, Wyoming, ON regarding a possible natural gas leak.
Lambton OPP along with Plympton-Wyoming Fire Department and Enbridge Gas attended the intersection and confirmed a natural gas leak.
For public safety, the Town of Plympton-Wyoming issued a Shelter in Place Notice for residents located within 500 meters of the area and access to the area was indefinitely closed to the general public.
At just before 3 p.m., emergency services were advised that the gas leak has been contained.
All emergency services have cleared the area and roadways have since been re-opened
