The Dresden Kinsmen Club have announced the return of their annual Pet & Hobby Parade for 2024.
“We’re calling on all of the creatures from across the land and from the pages of our favourite stories to join us on Saturday, June 8 for ‘Fantasy & Fairytales!’,” the club posted on social media.
“Every person, pet and hobby welcome. Decorate your bike or trike, walk your pet or just get dressed up and join in on the fun.”
Prizes will be awarded for:
– Best Dressed Girl
– Best Dressed Boy
– Best Dressed Pet
– Best Dressed Group
– Best Dressed Bike
– Best Commercial Float
– Best Non-Commercial Float
– Judges Choice
Organizers say marshalling begins at 12:30 p.m. at Markham Grove (Corner of Metcalfe & Centre St.)
The parade will begin at 1 p.m.
Treats and fun to follow at Jackson Park and The Dresden Library.
