Evelyne was a busy Mother raising her 6 children. She worked outside of the home for many years retiring early to travel with the love of her life, Eldon. Traveling with her husband in their custom motor home, boating on Jou Jou, enjoying the occasional auction sale, gardening, baking and cooking, being crafty and decorating her home. She loved her home and her many, many collections. Her love for Christmas was evident during the season with days and days of trimming the house. Family gatherings were very important to Evelyne, often including friends who would be alone during the holidays to gather and feast with the family. The Jackson home was always full of laughter and comraderie. A full house made her happy!
Evelyne and Eldon had an amazing life filled with many adventures, often saying how blessed they were to have had such a wonderful life. The family deeply mourns the loss, but finds comfort that Mom & Dad, are together again holding hands like always. Their love was the epitome of what a real loving relationship should be. A beautiful legacy of love that will forever keep them in our hearts! Married and constant companions for 67 years, we understand her need to go and be with her beloved.
The family would like to extend a huge, ‘Thank you’ to her very special caregiver, Tammy for all of the love and extra kindness over the last few months. You truly made her feel special when life had robbed her of so many abilities she could no longer do.
Cremation has taken place. Together again, the Jackson family will host a celebration of life for Eldon & Evelyne at a later date on the family farm for all to attend.
Thank you to Life Transitions for your kindness, your compassion during what has been a very difficult journey for the family.
