The Walpole-Algonac Ferry is closed to vehicle traffic for the time being.
“Until further notice, the Walpole-Algonac Ferry cannot transport any vehicles (either direction),” ferry officials say.
“This is due to structural issues at our dock caused by a large vehicle. The ferry will continue to operate according to scheduled business hours to transport foot passengers only. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post when we can resume transporting vehicles.”
The closure started at 6 p.m. on July 4, 2024.
