Update: Suspect turns himself in after a stabbing in Chatham

On July 6, 2024, shortly after midnight, police responded to a disturbance on King Street East in Chatham, where one man sustained a serious puncture wound.

The victim was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical treatment and is currently recovering at home.

On July 21, 2024, at 8:06 p.m., Kodin Young attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarter and turned himself in to the police.

He has been charged with aggravated assault.

He was held pending a bail hearing.
