Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On July 18, 2024, police responded to King Street in Chatham for a assault investigation.
Through investigation, police learned the female youth knowingly approached a male youth who was bound by release conditions not to associate with her.
The youth began shoving and punched the young man.
The incident was witnessed by independent bystanders.
When the youth could not be located a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On July 23, 2024, the 15-year-old Raleigh Township youth attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned herself in to the police.
She has been charged with assault. She was released with conditions and a future court date of August 26, 2024.
