Community Living welcomes Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services to Wallaceburg

Community Living Wallaceburg welcomed some special guests to town on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services Michael Parsa and MPP Steve Pinsonneault paid a visit to Community Living Wallaceburg, where they were welcomed by Board President Ben Hazzard, people receiving services, family and staff members, Community Living Wallaceburg officials say.

“This was a really important visit for our organization and for the people we support, and a wonderful opportunity for Minister Parsa and MPP Pinsonneault to see firsthand the great work of our team here at CLW,” stated Roger Romses, Executive Director for the Agency, in a press release.

With a mission to build a community where every individual is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential, Minister Parsa readily recognized the Agency’s vision of co-creating, designing, and delivering supports that empower people to overcome barriers and live the life they choose, Community Living Wallaceburg officials say.

“We know Minister Parsa is taking the opportunity to visit social service providers across the province,” Romses added.

“We were grateful to be able to share some of the excellent work being done by Community Living Wallaceburg as well as give the Minister and MPP a chance to connect directly with some of the people we support, family members, and our employees. We support over 400 individuals and families across the region; it’s important that we are able to share the value of service providers operating in rural communities like Wallaceburg and Chatham-Kent.”
