Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 6, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 54-year-old Chatham man attended the Blenheim Police station and an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court was executed. The 54-year-old Chatham man was arrested, processed, and released with a future court date of August 26th, 2024.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 6, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police officers conducted a routine traffic stop and found a 41-year-old Chatham operating the vehicle. Upon identifying the man, officers learned that he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. It was also learned that the man was a prohibited driver in Canada and was subsequently arrested and had the vehicle towed and impounded for 45 days as a result. Officers executed the outstanding warrant and provided a court date for the new charge of driving while prohibited. The 41-year-old Chatham man was released from police custody with a court date of September 9th, 2024.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On August 6, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 45-year-old Chatham woman was in the passenger seat of the vehicle that was stopped during a routine traffic stop in relation to. When the woman was identified by officers, it was learned that there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest in relation to a mischief investigation. Through police interaction with the woman, a new charge of obstruct police was also determined. The 45-year-old Chatham women was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for processing and was later released with conditions and a future court date of September 16, 2024.
