The Chatham-Kent Police Service has issued some corrected information about an incident that took place over the weekend.
Chatham-Kent police officials said on Saturday, August 10, 2024 that they were investigating a complaint after a vehicle was struck in the window with what was believed to be a bullet from a .22 caliber firearm.
After initially saying the incident took place in Wallaceburg, police officials told the media in an email on Monday that the incident occurred on Wallace Street in Thamesville, not Wallaceburg.
Police say the incident occurred at approximately 6p.m. on August 9, 2024.
“This is considered an isolated incident and no threat to public safety,” police officials added.
