Ridge Runners East Kent will host the second annual East Kent Hot Rods for Hospice on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus, 120 Main St. E., Ridgetown.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature a classic car and truck show, soapbox derby, live music, kids’ activities, food trucks, a 50/50 draw, and a vendor market. Spectators are encouraged to donate to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation upon entry, with all proceeds supporting the hospice’s operations.
Event schedule:
– 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Car and truck show, vendor market, kids’ activities, food trucks
– 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Southwind Bouys, live music
– 9:30 a.m.: Soapbox derby (runs throughout the day)
– 12:30 p.m.: Timed Engine Blow
– 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.: The GTO’s Band, live music
– 3 p.m.: Raffle draws (50/50, hand-sewn quilt, custom guitar)
The fundraiser supports Chatham-Kent Hospice and offers a day of family-friendly activities for the community.
