The 3rd annual Healing Walk & Gathering on September 30th in Wallaceburg.
The event is a partnership between Walpole Island Employment & Training with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice team and honours Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
The walk goes down James Street, which will be closed for a short period of time.
The gathering is at Civic Square Park right after and is a chance for Survivors to share their ‘truths’, their experiences with Residential Schools. And for everyone to learn about how we can contribute to healing.
