With heavy hearts we announce that Arnold Tracey Shobway Sr., a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the age of 70.
He has now been reunited with his parents Tracey “Lewis” and Dena May (Greenbird) Shobway, as well as his siblings Albert, Lonnie, Victoria, Mark and Lester. Cherished father of Christina Thomas (Mike), Lynn Marie Shobway, William Shobway, Johnathan Shobway, Zheesheebenh Fournier (Jessica), Arnold Shobway Jr. (Rosie), and Loni Shobway (Ace). Grandfather of Wally, Wyndal, Allison, Elizabeth, Michael Lee, Sabrina, Colton, Dylan, Zaiden, Josie, MacKenzie, Rain, Tempest, and Ace Jr. Great-grandfather of Gaige, Jaela, Dontae, Zack, Jaynes, Stylo, and Luna.
Arnold will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11am until the time of his funeral ceremony at 2pm.
