Rollover crash in Dover leads to impaired driving charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 27, 2024, at 3:03 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision on St. Philippe’s Line, near Big Pointe Road, in Dover Township. A pick-up truck had left the roadway and rolled into a ditch.

The officers arrived and located the driver. They believe he was under the influence of alcohol and arrested him. He was transported to police headquarters for breath tests.

The 20-year-old Merlin man was charged with operating a motor vehicle while having a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit. He was released with conditions and a future court date of October 7, 2024.
