OPP officials allege: The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Essex Detachment with the assistance of the West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.
On Sunday, October 6, just before 7:00 a.m., members of the Essex Detachment OPP and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a collision on County Road 18 near Britton Road in the Town of Essex.
A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on the roadway. The pedestrian, a 16-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
West Region OPP TIME Team members are actively conducting an ongoing investigation. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact Essex OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
