Wrong-way driver intercepted twice by the Lambton OPP

OPP officials allege: On October 5, 2024, shortly after 10:45 p.m., a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) encountered a vehicle travelling the wrong way while exiting the off-ramp to Highway 402 at Mandaumin Road, Plympton-Wyoming.

As a result, 26-year-old of London, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.

Shortly after being released from the traffic stop, the same vehicle was observed traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on Mandaumin Road.

The driver was again stopped by police and subsequently charged with Careless Driving and is set to appear before the provincial offences court on November 7, 2024, in the City of Sarnia.
