Update: Arrest made after after an ‘indecent act’ investigation in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police Service has announced the arrest of a 23-year-old man in connection with a series of indecent acts that occurred on school property at 79 Eugenie Street, Chatham, Ontario.

Police initially learned of the incidents on October 22, 2024, when an unknown male reportedly visited the school property after hours and committed indecent acts while no children were present.

Following an investigation, the man was identified and, on October 29, was arrested after officers found him returning to the school and allegedly committing another indecent act.

The man is currently in custody pending a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court today.

Police believe these incidents to be isolated, with no further suspects involved.
