Impaired driving charges laid in Corunna

OPP officials allege: On November 12, 2024, shortly after 4:45 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint in the area of Bentinck Drive and Cameron Street in Corunna.

Police located the vehicle and driver.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Sarnia woman, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

– Dangerous operation

– Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code

The vehicle was impounded for a period of 45 days as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice – Sarnia on December 10, 2024, to speak to the charges.
