Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In August of 2022, the Chatham-Kent Police Service commenced a firearms-related investigation after responding to an active incident at a residence in Chatham.
As a result of this investigation, police formed grounds to arrest a then 32-year-old man for Careless Use of a Firearm, Carry a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
A warrant was subsequently submitted and authorized for his arrest.
On November 14, 2024, police located this man and arrested him without incident on the strength of this warrant.
He was ultimately processed at police headquarters, before being released a short time later on an Undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
